About Chess 2D
Chess 2D is the classic game on a clear, top-down board that loads in a moment and stays readable even on small phone screens. Pieces slide smoothly, legal moves are marked as you pick a piece, and captured pieces with the material balance are shown beside the board. Play the computer on three levels, pass one device back and forth with a friend, or meet an online opponent through quick matchmaking or a private room code.
How to play Chess 2D
Each player starts with 16 pieces and tries to checkmate the opposing king. Pick a piece by tapping it, or drag it straight to its target square; the possible moves are highlighted. Castling, en passant and pawn promotion are all supported, and a game can also end in a draw by stalemate, threefold repetition or the 50-move rule. Online games are checked by the server, so every move follows the official rules.
